Michael Anthony Vaught, Sr., age 75, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his home. Mr. Vaught was born January 15, 1950, in Wilkes County to John Dexter Vaught, Sr. and Roxie Alease Smith Vaught. He was a US Navy Veteran. Mr. Vaught had an extensive knowledge of vehicles, and everyone came to him to help with theirs. He loved his family and enjoyed being around people. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Dexter Vaught, Jr., Robert Franklin Vaught, Sheldon Eugene Vaught; sister, Sandra Wolfe; and nephew, Bobby Wolfe.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Mary Epps of North Wilkesboro; daughter, Cassandra Vaught of North Wilkesboro; son, Michael Anthony Vaught, Jr. of Fuquay-Varina; granddaughters, December Owens and spouse Christopher and Laylia Rivers and spouse Evan all of North Wilkesboro; great granddaughter, Wrenleigh Owens of North Wilkesboro; niece, Michelle Wolfe of North Wilkesboro; nephew, William Wolfe of North Wilkesboro; and several other nieces and nephews.
