Town of Poughkeepsie - Kyle David Gordon, 51, a lifelong
resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, died unexpectedly on July 19, 2024.
Born February 2, 1973, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Richard J.
Gordon Sr. and Rosalyn Lemak Gordon. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by an infant sister, Tina Marie.
A graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, he received
his bachelor's degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York
City and worked as a dispatcher for Dutchess County 911 for 25 years.
Kyle is survived by his brother, Richard J. Gordon Jr., and husband, Jim, of Wallkill;
an aunt; and several cousins.
A lover of animals, Kyle had several dogs over the years and
is survived by his current beloved canine companion, Dexter.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 PM, Thursday August 1st, at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde
Park.
Graveside services and burial of his ashes will be in the
family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Poughkeepsie on Friday, August 2nd.
