Our dear mother Shelly Beth Hammer Argot “Bunk” passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 56. She was born in Boone, Iowa to Ava Beth Thompson Hammer and Herman Clarence Hammer on July 21, 1967. Shelly was a wonderful mother who was always there for anyone who needed her. She loved spending time with family and grandkids, playing bingo, and gambling. She could start a conversation and make friends with anyone she met, and she could put a smile on anyone’s face.
Shelly is preceded in death by her brother, Tiny Hammer; sisters, Avalynn Frink, and Marsha Allen; parents, Ava Beth Thompson, and Herman Clarence Hammer; grandson Liam Aguire; granddaughter, Jaelin Mendez; nephew Tyler Frink; and nieces Larissa Miller, Beth Ann Cook, and Rebecca Brandt.
She is survived by her daughters; Alicia (Ramon) Krehmeyer, Kayla Krehmeyer, Amanda Krehmeyer, and Rae Anna Hernandez; sisters, Julie (Omar) Boes, Rexine (Lee) Woolington; and brothers, Michael (Cindy) Hammer, and Shawn (Heather) Hammer. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tristen, Anthony, Ramon, Julie, Natali, Luis, David, Quanell, Leiland, Avalena, Baleigh, Ella Mae, Kinsley, Layne, Iszac, Kristalyn, Andrea, Carlos, Rebecca, Josue, Jaeson, and Aracelli.
A visitation will be held at Heer Mortuary in Brush, Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 4 pm – 6 pm, and a celebration of life will be held Friday April 5, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan, followed by interment at Brush Memorial Cemetery.
