Robert “Rob” James Tobin, age 62, of West Jefferson, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born May 21, 1961 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Walter and Janet Meisch Tobin. Rob was a wonderful brother and uncle. He was humorous, vibrant and always the life of the party. He loved his best friend, his dog, Petey. Rob loved listening to 80’s music and going to the beach in Keansburg. He worked at Cracked Olive Market, where he delivered breakfast and lunch and catering to offices. He was a driver for Subway in Keansburg, New Jersey; for Luigi Pizza in Hazlet, New Jersey; Lincroft Liquors; and employed at Jacob Javits Center as a union show carpenter. He also was a driver for Salvation Army in Jefferson. Mr. Tobin is preceded in death by his father; and longtime love, Jennifer.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Janet Tobin of Hazlet, New Jersey; sister, Maggi Fernandez and spouse Bob of Jefferson; brothers, Steve Tobin of Hazlet, New Jersey, Jeff Tobin of Keansburg, New Jersey; aunt, Joanne Tobin of Pompano Beach, Florida; nephew, Jacob Fernandez; and nieces, Kaylie Fernandez and Sophia Fernandez all of Jefferson.
