Kari Kay Linker, 56, of Brush, passed away Tuesday July 25th, 2023 surrounded by family at her home in Brush.
Kari was born in February 18, 1967 to Larry and Patty Chartier in Brush. She graduated from Brush High School in 1985 and then attended the Denver Fashion Institute and got a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. From there she went to work for the County Seat clothing store in Denver. During that time she had her two daughters, Jenna and Jessica. Kari eventually moved back to her hometown of Brush, where she had her son Isaac and started her career with Morgan County Economic Development. She had a great impact on the county which led to the opportunity to work for the State of Colorado with former Governor Hickenlooper. Kari continued to make an impact on her community while at Morgan Community College and her most recent position as Eastern Plains Director for Senator Hickenlooper. She was proud to be given the opportunity to advocate for rural Colorado at a national level.
Kari was loved and cherished by many. She is survived by her mother, Patty Chartier of Brush, her children Jenna Robertson of Fort Worth, TX, Jess Buckley of Washougal, WA, and Isaac Linker of Brush, CO; her granddaughter Oaklyn Robertson of Fort Worth, TX ; two brothers, Greg Chartier of Sterling, CO and Scott Chartier of Windsor, CO.
A visitation will be held Tuesday August 1st from 6-8pm at Heer Mortuary in Brush.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 2nd at 10:00am at  Keith Bath’s Big Red Shed; 22460 County Road Q, Fort Morgan, CO, followed by a reception at 1:00 at The Place in Hillrose. A private burial will be at Brush Memorial Cemetery.
