Tom Sparks, a beloved member of the Lakeview, Arkansas community, passed away on Saturday, June 10th, 2023, in Mountain Home, AR. He was 65 years old. Tom was born on June 1, 1958, and throughout his life, he touched the lives of many with his kindness, talent, and love.
In his early years, Tom worked as an air conditioning specialist, utilizing his technical skills to provide comfort to those around him. Later on, he pursued his passion for technology and became the proud owner and operator of a computer store. Tom's dedication and expertise in the field allowed him to serve his customers with utmost professionalism and care.
Beyond his professional life, Tom had a deep love for music and was known for his ability to play a wide range of instruments. Whether it was strumming a guitar, picking a banjo, or picking up any other instrument, he possessed a remarkable talent that brought joy to those who heard him play. Additionally, he found great pleasure in motorcycle riding, model trains, square dancing, as well as fishing and hunting adventures with his children and grandchildren. Above all else, Tom’s love for his family was immeasurable. He was a loving and devoted husband to his beloved wife, Nancy Sparks, with whom he shared countless memories and a deep bond. Their love and commitment to one another were an inspiration to all who knew them.
Tom's memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Sparks, his son Gary of San Diego, CA, his daughter Jennifer of Lakeview, AR, and his two granddaughters, Nichole (Steven) of Rhome, TX, and Analee of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Earlene (Larry) Tucker, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom's departure leaves a void in the lives of his special friends, John and Gerri Parr, Jan Halligan, Truman and Geula Dover, Holly and Moose, who shared many memorable moments with him. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth(Phinney) Sparks and brother, Sam Sparks.
The family invites friends and loved ones to gather in celebration of Tom's life and to share treasured memories on Saturday, June 24th, at 2:00 pm at Roller Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tom's memory to the Fund a Family.
Tom will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his generous spirit, and his steadfast love for those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his presence will be felt every day, walking beside us, unseen but never forgotten. As the saying goes, "Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear."
