Christopher Lee Strickland, age 35, of Boone, passed away May 24, 2023, in Watauga County. Christopher was born January 19, 1988, in Dade County, FL, to Rafael Varela and Sandra Strickland. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandfather, Gerald Metz. Christopher was very artistic and loved building things as well as taking things apart and putting them back together. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and fishing.
No services will be held.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Sandra Strickland of Boone, sisters, Christina Strickland, Julie Varela all of Florida, and Josie Whisnant, and spouse, Daniel, of Lenoir, brothers, Manny Varela, Ralphael Varela, and Gearald Varela, all of Florida, Grandmother, Josefa Metz. Numerous cousins, and nieces also survive.
