Town of Poughkeepsie - Stephanie Rose Perry, 39, lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on July 5, 2023, at home.
Born May 16, 1984, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Kevin M. Perry and the former Mona M. Harrison. Her father survives in Hyde Park, and her mother and stepfather, Al Leone, also survive in Hyde Park.
A 2002 graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, Ms. Perry received her certification as a Legal Office Assistant from the former Ridley-Lowell Business Institute in Poughkeepsie. She worked for the Dutchess County Department of Adult Protective Services for a time and most recently worked in the Adult Education Department at Dutchess County BOCES.
Stephanie enjoyed writing and was considered a “second mother” to many, especially her daughters’ friends.
She was a loving partner, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. In addition to her parents, survivors include her longtime partner, Shawn M. Campbell, of Poughkeepsie; twin daughters, Sierra D. Campbell of New Paltz, and Shaylyne D. Campbell of Poughkeepsie; son, Bryson D. Campbell, of  Poughkeepsie; sister, Shiloh M. Perry (fiancé - Robert Holden), of Hyde Park; brother, Nick C. Leone (longtime girlfriend - Martina Kenner) , of Nashville, TN; sister, Toni-Ann Perry, of Pennsylvania; sister, Ashley M. Pagan, of LaGrange; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Shirley Harrison,  of Hyde Park; several aunts and uncles, especially Rocco and Deana Runza of Hyde Park, and Brenda Perry of Pleasant Valley; and several  cousins.
Stephanie was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Virginia Perry, and mother-in-law, Deborah Obermeyer.
Cremation has taken place. A period of memorial visitation will take place from 9 to 11 AM, Wednesday, July 12th at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate.
Burial of her ashes will take place immediately after the service at Union Cemetery of Hyde Park.
